How do I convert negative 3 over 5 to a decimal?

Divide the numerator by the denominator, the answer will still be negative. -3/5 = -.6

forget the negative for a minute. now just look at 3/5. you divide 3 by 5 which is 0.6. now just reapply the negative sign and you're done :)
