100/150 = (10 x 10)/(15 x 10) = 10/15
3/5 = (3 x 3)/(5 x 3) = 9/10
And 10/15 ≠ 9/15
So 100/150 ≠ 3/5

The fraction 150 100 simplifies to 3 2 , which is not equivalent to 5 3 . When we cross-multiply, we find that 2 × 5  = 3 × 3 . Thus, 150 100 is not equivalent to 5 3 .
