The four digits I'll be using are 0, 1, 2, and 3, obviously.
Now, I'll make the two smallest two digit numbers I can.
That would be 10 and 23. (or 20 and 13, either way)
Add both of them:
10 + 23
Answer would be 33, when using four different digits.

The least sum of two 2-digit numbers formed using four different digits is 33, created by adding 10 and 23. The digits used are 0, 1, 2, and 3. No other combination using different digits results in a smaller sum.
