The three variables that significantly affect a living system are as follows:

Abiotic factors like temperature, rainfall, and light.
Competition between living organisms for food , space, and mating partner.
Exposure to disastrous events or predators.

What is a Living system?
A living system may be defined as a type of system that is generally open and self-organizing that has the special characteristics property of life and interaction with their surrounding environmental conditions. Living systems include humans, animals, plants, and cells.
Living organisms directly interact with abiotic factors like temperature, light, wind, precipitation, etc. in order to sustain themselves under each condition. Apart from this, biotic interaction also matters a lot. The competition between the organisms leads to a scarcity of food to eat, space to live, and mating partners for successful reproduction .
Therefore, the three variables that significantly affect a living system are briefly described above.
