6 7=42 6 6=36 Therefore the possibilities are 37, 38, 39, 40 and 41 3+7=10 3+8=11 3+9=12 4+0=4 4+1=5 Therefore your answer is 39

6 x 7 = 42 6 x 6 = 36
So the range is 37, 38, 39, 40, 41
The only one where the digits add up to 12 is 39
Answer 39

The number smaller than 6 × 7 (42) and greater than 6 2 (36) with a digit sum of 12 is 39. We identified the range of possible values (37 to 41), and only 39 has a digit sum of 12. Thus, the answer is 39.
