First you should convert the feet into inches just because that should make it easier on yourself. So 12 feet= 144 inches If Angie has to cut the pieces in 5 inches each you should do 144 divided by 5 to get your answer which should be 28-5 inch pieces with 4 inches of string left over.

Angie will have 4 inches of string left after cutting 28 pieces of 5 inches each from her total of 12 feet (144 inches). The calculation involves converting feet to inches, determining how many full pieces can be cut, and then finding the remainder. After the calculations, we find that she uses 140 inches, leaving her with 4 inches remaining.
