Jennifer's bowling ball is dropped from rest, and Janet's bowling ball is thrown horizontally at the same time. After the balls are released, is the acceleration of Jennifer's bowling ball greater than, less than, or equal to the acceleration of Janet's bowling ball? Explain.

They both have a constant acceleration of g (9.8 m/s) So they both have equal accelerations. This is according to the law of gravity

Answer :
The acceleration of Jennifer’s bowling ball is equal to the acceleration of Janet’s bowling ball ;

Jennifer's bowling ball and Janet's bowling ball both experience the same acceleration due to gravity, which is approximately 9.81 m/s² downward. This occurs regardless of the method each ball was released, maintaining that vertical motion is independent of horizontal motion. Thus, their accelerations are equal.
