Does every point lie in a quadrant?

Answer: A point that lies on either the x- or y-axis does not lie in a quadrant. All the rest do.

In a Cartesian coordinate system, every point falls within one of the four quadrants except the origin at (0, 0). The origin does not belong to any quadrant as both its x and y coordinates are zero. All other points with non-zero coordinates will lie in one of the four quadrants depending on the signs of x and y.
