Agriculture is the main answer. Around 60% of the population is employed in this industry. However, only around 15% of the country is suitable for agriculture. Most of this is planted with banana crops, but also coffee, melon and winter vegetables.
Many job options for high school graduates in Honduras are found in agriculture, which employs a large portion of the workforce. Additionally, textiles and the services industry are growing sectors providing various opportunities. However, challenges like political instability can affect job availability.
