How would you simplify [tex]\frac{11}{66}[/tex] and [tex]\frac{12}{24}[/tex]?

for the first one you would divide the top and bottom number both by 11 and get 1/6. for the secong one you would divide the top and nottom number both by 12 and you would get 1/2

Well, think about if the first number can go into the second number or not.
11 can go into 66 6x, so the answer would be 1/6.
12 can go into 24 2x, so the answer would be 1/2.
