KE = 1/2 mv^2 So in the case where they have the same energy, the golf ball has less mass, so greater velocity to make up for less mass.
If they are moving at the same velocity, the only variable that differs is mass. The ball with more mass has more KE.
If both a golf ball and a bowling ball have the same kinetic energy, the golf ball is moving faster. If they move at the same speed, the bowling ball has more kinetic energy because it has more mass.
