W = F x s cos thita. = 60 x 6 x cos thita since it is horizontal, thus the angle will be 90 degrees. Thus, W = FS 90 degree. Since the angle is 90 degree, cos thita will become zero.
thus, W = 60 x 6 x 0 =0 Thus, work done will be zero.

The work done on a 60 N box of books carried horizontally across a 6 m room is 0 joules, since there is no vertical displacement that contributes to work done against gravity. The applied force only counters gravity, and does not translate into horizontal work. Therefore, the work done, W, is zero: W = 0 J.
