A natural satellite is like a moon or other natural object orbiting a celestial body. The moon is a natural satellite for earth.
An artificial satellite would be like a satellite sent up by humans. Sputnik was an artificial satellite, and so is the gps network

Natural satellites are celestial objects like moons that orbit planets, formed by nature. In contrast, artificial satellites are man-made objects sent into space for specific functions. Both types orbit larger bodies due to gravitational forces.
