If you were going to try to get the noble gas argon to combine with another element, would fluorine be a good choice?

I guess I should say yes. Due to its high activity, people use it to produce compounds of noble gas. Such as Xe, but for Argon and Fluorine, it requires very special conditions, super low temperature, and other conditions.

Fluorine is not a good choice for combining with argon due to argon's chemical inertness and stable electron configuration. Fluorine can react with heavier noble gases, like xenon, but not with lighter ones like argon. Historical attempts to react argon with fluorine have proven unsuccessful.
