To me, it would mean not accepting what the conventional news media says as it is usually biased against the progressive people and in favor of the big corporations and the attempts at the violent so-called resolution of international problems or threats of such. Myself, I give much more credence to the alternative news media which are in the hands of the ordinary people and which are decidedly on the side of the progressive current of humanity.
Being a thoughtful consumer of media involves actively analyzing and evaluating different media sources, seeking out diverse perspectives, fact-checking information, reflecting on personal beliefs, and enhancing media literacy. These practices help you become a more informed citizen capable of engaging with complex societal issues. Ultimately, this proactive approach to media consumption contributes to a more democratic and well-informed society.
