there is 27 meals cause if you have 12 entrees and 6 appetizers you still have 12 so 2 6=12 so 2 12=24 and how many times can 4 go into 12 and that is 3 so 24+3=27
the answer is 27

The restaurant can create a total of 288 different meal combinations by selecting one appetizer, one entree, and one type of rice. This is calculated using the principle of multiplication for counting combinations. The calculation is: 12 entrees x 6 appetizers x 4 rice options = 288 meals.
