Can you dig a hole to China from the US?

There are at least 50 reasons why you can't.
The only other detail I want to mention just now is that China is NOT directly opposite the US. An area in the Indian Ocean is. So if you were digging to China, you would have to go off at a skew, NOT through the center of the Earth.

It is not possible to dig a hole to China from the U.S. because they are not directly opposite each other, and the Earth’s structure makes digging through its layers extremely challenging. Legal and environmental factors, as well as the practicality of such a project, also make this idea unfeasible.
