Why does an electrically heated mirror stay clear when a person takes a shower?

The reason that moisture usually condenses on a mirror is because the air in the room is warm and humid, the cold mirror cools the air right next to it, and some of the water condenses out of the cooled air. If the mirror is warm, then even the air that's right next to it stays warm, and there's no condensation on the mirror.

An electrically heated mirror stays clear during a shower because it keeps the mirror surface warm, preventing condensation. When warm, humid air meets the heated surface, it doesn’t cool enough to condense into water droplets. Thus, the mirror remains fog-free despite the high humidity in the bathroom.
