The human heart pumps blood in a loop through its four chambers: right atrium, right ventricle, left atrium, and left ventricle. It receives deoxygenated blood from the body, sends it to the lungs for oxygenation, and then pumps oxygen-rich blood to the rest of the body. This double circulation system keeps the blood flow efficient for delivering nutrients and oxygen while removing waste.
