It is going to end up as x = x + 1, which is not possible even if x = 0. so solution does not exist.

When solving the equation 2 1 x + 2 1 x = x + 1 , we simplify and find that it leads to a contradiction ( 0 = 1 ). Therefore, there is no solution for x .
